About Lila

I am a colon hydrotherapist, massage therapist and registered nurse.  I love working with clients and educating them on their health and well being.

In 1993, after twelve years working at Digital Equipment Corporation, I found myself working as Director of Admissions for the American Institute of Massage Therapy in Florida. During this time of transition I learned about caring for my health from a different perspective that empowered me to make dietary changes and try colon hydrotherapy, among other things. I identified that I was often constipated and challenged with migraine headaches, allergies, asthma and sensitivities that made me feel sick. Through multiple cleanses that included colon hydrotherapy, juice fasting and eliminating things like white sugar, white flour and milk, my reactions decreased and I felt the best I had felt in a long time. The positive results lead me to complete the massage and colon hydrotherapy programs.

I found my passion and for the first time learned that I had the skill of listening to my clients and meeting their needs. Returning to Massachusetts in 1997, I had the opportunity to work with Constance Jones and Associates for five years in Brighton (one of the longest-practicing colon yrdotherapists in our area) and I helped establish the New England School of Colon Hydrotherapy. Working with Connie I developed my skills in a very professional and caring environment, which I bring to my own practice.

I am a member of the International Association for Colon Hydro Therapy (I-ACT), and from 2000 to 2011 I was the Regional Representative for the New England Area, bringing I-ACT members to a forum for networking and education. From 2003 to 2011 I was an I-ACT board member and with much effort we improved the educational standards of our profession.

As an advanced level I-ACT certified Colon Hydrotherapist I take a simple approach to educating my clients about their digestive system and its connection to their health. I have the ability to put clients at ease-especially on their first visit and establish the trust needed to help them with their commitment to make healthy lifestyle changes.

In 2004 I graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies, finally completing a degree I started back in 1987 by taking night classes. In 2005 I hit a crossroads in my career and I enrolled nursing school. I graduated in 2007 from Massasoit Community College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing and in 2013 graduated from Curry College with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. There is always a reason for why we travel certain paths.  At the end of my nursing program in 2007, my husband was diagnosed with cancer and if it were not for my nursing education, I would have been lost in diagnosis, medical terms, stages and treatment options. He chose a combination of treatments that supported his healing and he is still cancer-free today.

There is never an end to my desire to learn about what makes our bodies work and what we can do to overcome health challenges using methods that we can manage on our own, as well as using allopathic medicine when needed. Over the years I've heard how many clients overcame health challenges. I am always amazed by our will to survive and determination to remain disease-free through proper nutrition and major lifestyle changes, including the use of colon hydrotherapy and massage therapy.

Life can be very complicated and many of us experience different levels of stress on a daily basis-whether it be our health, family, work, finances or addictions, to name a few. Searching through the Internet will supply you with a vast amount of information on how to manage these stresses-one thing required for your desired result is your commitment and motivation to follow a plan and keep it going. I have also experienced this myself and from reading many books on health and studying massage therapy, colon hydrotherapy, business management and nursing, the one thing I tell myself is to keep it simple.

I have an understanding of the discipline it takes to eliminate unhealthy habits and want to assist others achieve their health goals. Call me with your questions and to schedule your appointment. Cornerstone Therapeutics is the perfect place to start your cleansing-it is relaxing, professional and private.
